Move past the past (2/5)

Click here to read part 1 of this topic.

Make it your goal to not revisit the past.

A big part of restoration is a commitment to moving on. Once you’ve discussed and cleared up whatever situations have confronted you, make it a mutual goal to not allow the past to control your future. This will become easier as you pray and continue to grow in Christ.

But what if there are constant reminders of the past?

Sometimes the consequences of poor decisions are with us for the rest of our life. In that case, couples need to make a concentrated effort to support each other as they move forward. While it will at times be difficult for both parties, if you’re committed to moving on together, you’ll find it’s not impossible.

You may even gain more appreciation for each other in ways you never thought possible.

Build a fearless marriage.

P.S. Did you know you can donate to support our overseas mission?
