We hear all the time that reading is good for the brain. A study by Emory University demonstrated that reading fiction helps our ability to ” in another person’s shoes and flex the imagination in a way that is similar to the visualization of a muscle memory in sports”.
But reading’s also good for marriages. Opening a book can let you share stories you enjoyed as a kid or see situations from another person’s point of view.
No matter what you read, engaging with your spouse in a non-typical way allows you to discover new things about each other, laugh together, and rebuild the excitement in your relationship.

Love it Heatherjo! It certainly does. We read or listen to the Bible together everyday–there’s no better book! We’ve been through the Bible several times but I think Ecclesiastes and Proverbs really speak to us as a couple. Such great advice on relationships, sex and finances. Thanks for sharing!
