When things get rough in a marriage, couples tend to wonder if their spouse was really the “right one.”
This element of doubt, if left untreated, can be like a cancer, destroying a relationship from the inside out. In our permissive society, men and women often leave their spouse and seek to find fulfillment in the arms of another.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Be aggressive and stop insecurity in its tracks. Sure, your spouse isn’t perfect; that comes with being human. But instead of wondering if he/she is the right one for you, focus on what the qualities that drew you both together in the first place.
Believe that God brought you both together and, if you place your lives in His hands, He will bring you through every tough spot stronger and better than ever before.
Like a camera lens, center your attention on his/her positive qualities and let all the rest blur into the background.
Love your marriage.
Anyone who doubts if they married the right one can put their doubts to rest. If they’re married in God’s sight, it’s the right one. There isn’t anyone else.

Marriage is a serious covenant that should not be taken lightly. It is so important to pray for the “right one” before any promises take place.
