It’s really easy to get sucked into the vortex of negativity.
All of us feel it. Media headlines, funeral home ads and, of course, other people with negative attitudes tend to fuel the hurricane of depression and anxiety that threatens to blow us away.
But a new year means a new start, right?
Not if you bring the baggage of the past year with you.
This year, focus on the bright spots in your life—big or small. Commit problems to God in prayer, believing that He’ll bring you through. Stay away from obvious pitfalls and acknowledge that, while you’re going to make mistakes, you’re going to learn from them and improve.
Burn the baggage of last year and, with God as your guide, look to shaping a brighter future.
Be God’s man.
