It’s no secret…

It is no secret that raising a family is a challenge. It affects every aspect of the parents’ lives including what happens in the bedroom.

Husbands and wives discover changes within themselves and changes in their relationship when there is an addition to the family.

What are some scriptures or quotes that you’ve found helpful in keeping the “flame” alive in your marriage when your family increased in size?

What advice would you offer to another couple with a family?

    1. Wow! Congratulations on almost 47 years of marriage!
I think that not “growing weary in well-doing” can be applied to the overall Christian life..marriage included.
Thanks for joining my blog! I look forward to seeing you here often.😄

  1. “Days are long but the years are short”…is the motto we use. It reminds us to enjoy the time we have with each other because it goes by so fast. This helps me turn our attention to gratitude and love instead of stress and fear.

    1. Great motto! I actually use that one as well. I look at my kids and wonder where the time has gone.
I think sometimes that our society makes parenting even more stressful than it already is. “You have to buy this..”, “You need to do this..”, “You’re not a good parent if you…”
I love your approach! Good for you!

  2. My advice: don’t stop dating just because you get married. The only thing that’s changed is your spouce IS your only date option. Be intentional to set aside time together, interacting and having fun. The more kids, the more regularly this should happen. And it doesn’t always have to be expensive or extravagant — be creative and keep that passion going!
